It’s hard to describe how truly wonderful this hidden gem is. Tucked away off of Bowdish Road is a garden with this boutique restaurant in the middle. The owners are sweet and adorable. The chef (wife) is from Thailand and cooks the best Thai cuisine that I’ve ever enjoyed in the US. Check the website for hours because while Yelp and Google might assure you that they’re open, reservations are generally required for the evening. You may show up to find they cannot accommodate you or they’re closed. By the way, we had the cashew chicken, chicken pad Thai, and my husband and I split their spring roll. Each was amazing. We highly recommend.

We were looking for someplace different to go for lunch and came across The Mangrove Cafe. It's kind of a hidden gem as I've driven by there countless times and wasn't aware of it. It's an old house transformed into a restaurant, so it's not very large with few tables, but that makes it quaint and quiet. The server was super friendly and efficient. The food was spectacular. I ordered the Roasted Red Pork over rice and it was awesome. My wife ordered the Chicken Pad See-Ew and she raved about the flavors that blended harmoniously. Both dishes were BEAUTIFULLY presented. Can't wait to go back for the expanded dinner menu.

Not to be missed! This is a rare gem-- and a limited opportunity, to boot. Not only do they have special hours, but they will be retiring, come September (as of the writing of this review)! They have some amazing classic Thai dishes, a wide array of desert and coffee options, boba tea, Italian sodas-- and the sweetest couple you could ever know! They are so kind and personable, we found it difficult to leave! You have to meet them before they pack it in for good. The restaurant is a converted cottage home that is so quaint and cool. It has a cozy, yet contemporary feel. And there are authentic elephant paintings! It was such an awesome experience. The fresh roll was unique, but tasty, and the Thom Ka was bright and fresh, but still very aromatic. We both had phad Thai as our main dish, and the flavor was perfect! Not too sweet or tangy. The shrimp was of impressively impeccable quality (something I am quite picky about)! And we had a basque cheesecake worth fighting over as desert! Followed by a lovely bit of departing conversation with the owners. I absolutely cannot wait to go back! I definitely recommend.

Well, this is an amazing hidden gem in Spokane. A friend and I wanted Thai Food, so we googled the restaurant and found this restaurant. We did not realize that it was by reservation only, but the owner had some availability. I ordered the Red Curry dish that was AMAZING! They add slices of fresh pumpkin to it. When I say fresh, I mean that the cook (his wife) went into the garden and got a pumpkin! How cool was this!? They are only open for a short window, but all money is donated to help elephants. What is better than a restaurant with great food, family-owned, and they donate the proceeds?

I lov2w this place...the food is great and fresh...it has a true homemade quantity to it. You'll feel like your family is cooking for you from their Kitchen. You can taste the truest love in their cooking. I have been there a couple times...once for my birthday and it was special because they had chocolate Zucchini cake...one of my all time favorite desserts....lots of hidden treasures here.

Amazing food, amazing cheesecake! And such a cute place and beautiful garden in the back. The owners are great and really know how to cook, and we really enjoyed chatting with Jerry. The owners are retiring in a few months so you should try and come soon!!

The food was fresh and tasted very good and healthy for you. Sad to hear that they will be closing in the fall after 10 years so they can retire but hopefully someone new will pick it up and carry on the good food. We just had lunch but plan on making a date night and come for dinner before they close.
